Wachauer Weinfrühling

The Vinea Wachau arranges every year the “Wachauer Weinfrühling”. For one you have the possibility to try many different types of wine at more than 100 winerys..

Sonnenwende

Probably the most beautiful celebration in the Wachau valley is Midsummer Night. Many torches, bonfires, fireworks and the illuminated ships on the Danube make that night a special one.

Marillenkirtag

There`s a special celebration in Spitz (a beautiful village in the Wachau valley) in July. There you have the possibility to eat and drink everything that contains apricots.

Wachaumarathon

Athletes from all over the world participate every year at the Wachau Marathon. There are about 8.500 attendants who accomplish the route from Emmersdorf, Spitz (half of the distance) or Dürnstein (a fourth of the distance).
